Square It Game
SQUARE IT – GAME FOR TWO
Use a dotty grid and take it in turns to claim a point and mark it with your colour. The first person or team to get 4 of their markers at the vertices of a square wins the game.
PEOPLE MATHS – GAME FOR TWO TEAMS
As a team game you can use 16 chairs or 16 markers on the ground. Teams take it in turns to choose a point and a member of the team sits on the chair or stands on the chosen point.
The first team to get 4 of their players at the vertices of a square wins the game.
You will have a better chance of winning if you are aware of all possible squares on the grid. See the ‘How Many Squares’ puzzle.
